People outgrow each other. When the spark fades or you’re unfulfilled with another person, sometimes the answer is an ending. In your relationship with yourself, though, you can’t part ways. So how do you stay connected with you?

I think the word ambition often conjures up images of hustle and sacrifice, of people racing to the top without stopping to breathe. I’m learning that ambition can look softer than that. It can look like setting boundaries, prioritizing rest, or staying true to yourself even when the world pushes you to conform.

It may be hard at first, but choosing to carry on in life is the first step to resiliency.
